At your Peter Pan BMW dealership, we are particularly excited because the 2012 BMW M6 convertible arrives just in time for this summer. Drivers of Woodside luxury cars will be able to experience the warm California wind in their hair as they cruise down the highway in the new BMW M6. As you eagerly wait for this summer, you can start building your dream 2012 BMW M6 through the BMW USA website while learning more about the available options on BMW’s sleek convertible.

The 2012 BMW M6 convertible provides plenty of power with its twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, which boasts a remarkable 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. Also, the V8 engine is complemented with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to produce a smooth and authoritative driving experience.

When building the BMW M6 on BMW’s website, drivers of Woodside luxury cars can choose from twelve metallic and non-metallic exterior colors, including Singapore Grey, Alpine White, and Ruby Black. In addition, drivers can select the interior leather upholstery and trim colors. Some of the options available on the 2012 BMW M6 convertible are bundled into the Driver Assistance Package and the Executive Package. While the Driver Assistance Package includes safety features such as the lane departure warning and active blind spot detection systems, the Executive Package offers a heated steering wheel and soft-close automatic doors.

The BMW X3 is a favorite among BMW enthusiasts because this sports-activity vehicle is the combination of elegance and practicality. While the X3’s fine exterior and interior materials exude a sense of luxury, drivers of Woodside luxury cars likely recognize that the BMW X3 also offers an extensive list of inventive safety and entertainment features that make the X3 a perfect choice for families. Now, drivers have another reason to love the BMW X3 because BMW recently announced that the BMW X3 xDrive28i model would soon be outfitted with the turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

The N20 is a powerful TwinPower turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine, which muscles out an impressive 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. In the BMW X3 xDrive28i, the N20 will be coupled with the BMW eight-speed automatic transmission, which will collaborate to produce a smooth driving experience.

Currently, the BMW X3 averages 25 miles per gallon for highway driving and drivers of Woodside luxury cars will be excited that the new addition of the N20 engine is expected to have a positive impact on the X3’s fuel economy. Although official fuel efficiency ratings have not been released for the BMW X3 equipped with the N20, BMW expects that the fuel economy will increase from about four to eight percent. In addition, the Driving Experience Control function on the BMW X3 provides drivers with the option to select Eco Pro mode to further decrease unnecessary fuel consumption.

If you want to discover more details about the BMW X3 xDrive28i or learn more about the power behind the four-cylinder N20 engine, please stop in to your local Peter Pan BMW dealership, located in San Mateo, Ca.

The new BMW ActiveE vehicles illustrate BMW’s commitment to developing innovative green technology for the ultimate driving machine. Recently, BMW took the next step on its journey to introducing the BMW ActiveE into the United States and your Peter Pan BMW dealership is excited that the first ActiveE was delivered to the Moloughney family in New Jersey.

Tom and Meredith Moloughney participated in the MINI E trial program in 2009 and now they have the opportunity to be a part of the BMW ActiveE trial experience before BMW introduces the BMWi models in 2013. The Moloughneys are only the beginning because BMW will lease about 700 BMW ActiveE sedans to interested BMW enthusiasts for a two-year period. In addition, BMW plans to use customer feedback to help improve the BMW i3 before it hits dealership showrooms next year.

The ActiveE concept car is a completely electrically powered BMW that uses lithium-ion batteries to boast an impressive 170 horsepower and 184 pound-feet. When fully charged, these new lithium-ion batteries also provide drivers the opportunity to travel up to 100 miles, so ActiveE drivers can even take small road trips.

If you are interested in being one of the 700 BMW ActiveE Electronauts please contact your local Peter Pan BMW dealership and our friendly staff is happy to provide more details about BMW’s ActiveE leasing program. And if you are not ready to go green with the ActiveE, then you can still stop by our San Mateo BMW service center. Drivers of Woodside luxury cars trust our mechanics to provide quality service for their ultimate driving machines.

Do you want more power in your BMW engine? Do you want more speed in your BMW vehicle? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then your BMW dealer has exciting news for you! BMW recently released two new power kits for its 135i, 335i and X6 models, which add more horsepower and torque to the already powerful BMW engine.

The 135i, 335i and X6 models are originally equipped with a turbocharged 3-liter six cylinder engine that boasts an impressive 300 horsepower.

With the addition of the power kits, the horsepower increases to 320 horsepower and torque increases to 332 pound-feet for a car with an automatic transmission. One of the most exciting new features with the power kit is the exhaust burble sound, which occurs during engine-overrun conditions. This exhaust burble ensures that drivers of Woodside luxury cars can make their presence known, as they zip down the street in their newly upgraded BMW vehicles.

The first version of the power kit was originally introduced on the 335i BMW Performance Edition model and it includes performance-optimized engine software. This power kit is now available for all 135i and 335i models and X6 models produced prior to April 2010.

The second version, which is available for all 135i and 335i models, contains the same performance-optimized engine software found in the first version, but adds an auxiliary water cooler and enhanced radiator fan. Both these additions help to reduce the high thermal stresses to the engine, which often occurs during extreme driving.

Although BMW drivers always want more power, BMW is also conscious about our vehicles’ impact on the environment. A power kit addition to your current 135i, 335i or X6 car will not affect the vehicle’s original emission certification or the vehicle’s original fuel efficiency ratings.

If you are interested in purchasing a power kit for your BMW vehicle, the kit can be installed at any BMW centers. BMW is also offering an introductory price on new power kits purchased during 2011. Please contact your local BMW dealer if you have any questions about power kit installation and our friendly staff will be happy to help you upgrade the level of performance on your BMW vehicle.

At the local BMW dealer Mountain View drivers trust for high quality vehicles, we are zealous about the new 2011 BMW Z4 model. The fresh 2011 BMW Z4 can be described in three words: zesty, zippy and zany. We are confident that drivers of Woodside luxury cars will enjoy the performance, optional features and appearance of this new BMW model.

The 2011 Z4 roadster is a combination of the 2009 Z4 model and the Z3 model, with a long front end and an automatic retractable hard-top convertible. The Z4 is not just a good-looking car on the outside—its comfortable interior is also stylish with metallic and leather trim. On the dashboard, there is an optional navigation system, electric parking brake and iDrive controller.

The 2011 BMW Z4 features the newest sDrive35is powertrain model. This turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine boasts 355 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. If you have a need for speed, this zippy powertrain is perfect as it dashes from zero to 60 miles per hour in a mere 4.7 seconds, topping out at 155 miles per hour.

The Z4 will also be offered with six-cylinder engines that have the sDrive30i and the sDrive35i models. The sDrive35i model is the only powertrain model which offers a seven-speed dual clutch unit and paddle shifters mounted on the steering column. The dual-clutch gearbox provides drivers with the choice between an automatic shift mode or manual mode. The other powertrain models are offered in both six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions.

Although the Z4’s quick and precise handling is on best display when driving the zany twists and turns on country roads, the Z4’s smooth ride is also perfect for a relaxing drive.

There are also multiple options available to be added to the standard Z4 model, including satellite radio, a USB port and Bluetooth and smartphone integration. The navigation system, which includes iDrive, is also an elective feature on the 2011 BMW Z4.

If you are interested in learning more about the 2011 BMW Z4, please stop by your local Woodside luxury cars dealership, where our friendly and helpful staff will answer any of your questions and get you behind the wheel of your ideal BMW.

Your BMW dealer is proud to share the news that BMW’s ConnectedDrive technology earned four awards in the international “Plus X Awards.” The “Plus X award” jury focuses on the quality of the manufacturer’s products and honors companies that illustrate a commitment to innovation and future technology. BMW earned the top awards in the Innovation, Design and Operating Comfort categories, and ConnectedDrive was named the “Best Technology of the Year 2011.”

On BMW’s website, ConnectedDrive is described as “technology of tomorrow for the automobiles of today,” and to honor ConnectedDrive’s most recent Plus X awards, your local Woodside luxury cars dealership shares information about three interesting and useful ConnectedDrive features:

Locked Out?

Most of us have been in the situation where we are in a hurry and suddenly we get back to the car and realize that the keys are sitting right there inside the car on the seat. With BMW Remote Services the driver can call the BMW Call Center, which can remotely unlock or lock the vehicle after the driver’s identity is verified.

When in doubt, Google it

The BMW Online feature allows the driver to perform Google searches on the vehicle’s touchscreen and the results can easily be transferred to the navigation system or the driver’s mobile phone. For example, a driver can search for the closest theatres and then transfer the address to the navigation system or transfer the theatre’s phone number to the driver’s phone so he or she can call and reserve tickets.

The Future of the Check Engine Light

BMW TeleServices is another innovative BMW ConnectedDrive feature that provides a better driving experience for the driver. Condition Based Service is an intelligent maintenance system that continuously monitors your BMW’s service needs. If necessary, your vehicle makes an automatic TeleService call to the your local BMW Service Center, who will then contact you to schedule a convenient appointment for your vehicle’s service needs.

At your BMW dealer, we share in the excitement of BMW’s most recent Plus X awards for the innovative car infotainment system, ConnectedDrive. Please feel free to stop by your local dealership to see the ConnectedDrive technology at work in your favorite BMW model.

When smartphones were first launched, the app was a rather new feature for most phone users, but as the smartphone revolution has continued, it seems that there is an app for almost everything. Want to check your Facebook? There’s an app for that. Want to check the national news headlines? There’s about ten apps for that. Want to challenge your friends in an intense game of “Words with Friends” or aim for the highest score on “Angry Birds?” Yep, there’s an app for both those games. Want to see if your driving habits would be compatible with an electric car? Thanks to BMW, there’s a brand new app for that too!

BMW recently launched the EVolve app, which simulates the ownership of an electric vehicle and provides drivers with the unique opportunity to determine whether an electric vehicle could fulfill their driving needs in the future. Using this app, drivers of Woodside luxury cars can see the advantages and challenges associated with owning an electric vehicle. The app is available for free on iTunes and will be made compatible for Android phones within the next month.

Your local dealer can assure drivers that the EVolve app is simple and easy to use. The app simulates an electric vehicle with a maximum range of 100 miles when fully charged and its simple interface allows you to start the app when you begin driving each day. You also have the option to pause their commute by selecting “Park your EV” or the option to replenish the battery by pressing “Get Charged.”

While driving, the app uses the GPS in your phone to determine your position and the miles you have traveled. The fully charged battery slowly decreases as you continue your commute to simulate the battery range in a BMW electric vehicle. The app also tracks all of the driving statistics about distance traveled, time spent driving and time spent charging each day and provides a list at the end of each trip for you to better evaluate if an electric vehicle would fit your driving needs.

On the BMW Activate the Future website, the EV dashboard can be used in combination with the EVolve app and can help drivers of Woodside luxury cars compute possible fuel savings if they were to purchase an electric vehicle in the future. The EV dashboard also illustrates the driver’s impact on the environment in a gas-powered vehicle compared with an electric vehicle.

At your dealer we are aware that an electric vehicle may not suit every driver’s needs, but the new BMW EVolve app can help drivers determine whether an electric vehicle would be a reasonable purchase to match their driving style. The BMW EVolve app also allows users to choose to send the information back to BMW to analyze for further development of BMW electric vehicles, including the BMW ActiveE.

The EVolve app is free so we encourage drivers to try it out to learn more about the practical use of electric vehicles. And good luck on beating the high score on Angry Birds!
