BMW electronauts needed for new ActiveE trial program

The new BMW ActiveE vehicles illustrate BMW’s commitment to developing innovative green technology for the ultimate driving machine.  Recently, BMW took the next step on its journey to introducing the BMW ActiveE into the United States and your Peter Pan BMW dealership is excited that the first ActiveE was delivered to the Moloughney family in New Jersey.

Tom and Meredith Moloughney participated in the MINI E trial program in 2009 and now they have the opportunity to be a part of the BMW ActiveE trial experience before BMW introduces the BMWi models in 2013.  The Moloughneys are only the beginning because BMW will lease about 700 BMW ActiveE sedans to interested BMW enthusiasts for a two-year period.  In addition, BMW plans to use customer feedback to help improve the BMW i3 before it hits dealership showrooms next year.

The ActiveE concept car is a completely electrically powered BMW that uses lithium-ion batteries to boast an impressive 170 horsepower and 184 pound-feet.   When fully charged, these new lithium-ion batteries also provide drivers the opportunity to travel up to 100 miles, so ActiveE drivers can even take small road trips.

If you are interested in being one of the 700 BMW ActiveE Electronauts please contact your local Peter Pan BMW dealership and our friendly staff is happy to provide more details about BMW’s ActiveE leasing program.  And if you are not ready to go green with the ActiveE, then you can still stop by our San Mateo BMW service center.  Drivers of Woodside luxury cars trust our mechanics to provide quality service for their ultimate driving machines.
