If you are looking for a great last-minute gift, BMW recently announced two exciting features for the technology and car enthusiast on your holiday shopping list. Drivers of 2011 BMW vehicles can now use the MOG music streaming service. Also, BMW vehicles equipped with BMW online, can access the Yelp review website directly through an application.
MOG Music Streaming Service
Mountain View BMW 3 Series drivers who want to sing along to Justin Bieber’s newest hit, “Mistletoe,” can now use the new MOG music streaming service to browse the database filled with over 13 million songs.
To use the MOG service in a 2011 BMW vehicle, drivers must also have the BMW apps option installed. Then, drivers can download the MOG app onto their Apple iPhone. MOG users can create a “play queue” of favorite songs or browse the newest releases or top hits on the music charts. The MOG music streaming service allows customers unlimited advertisement-free access to its song database for only $9.99 per month.
Once the driver connects his or her iPhone to the car radio, the MOG app home screen opens up onto the BMW’s infotainment screen and then the driver can easily browse or search for songs from the database using the steering wheel controls or the car radio controls. Also, the MOG music streaming service allows drivers of San Carlos luxury cars to choose their favorite artist and only listen to that artist’s songs.
Yelp Review App
Drivers of San Carlos luxury cars can also download the Yelp review application directly to their BMW vehicle. The Yelp app is only available in BMW vehicles equipped with BMW Online. This new app was recently added with the BMW Online update, so it will now be featured on the new Applications screen. Mountain View BMW 3 Series drivers can use the Yelp app to search for nearby restaurants or stores and then read customer-submitted reviews. The BMW’s navigation system can then provide directions to the driver’s choice of destination.
